London, UK and Cape Town, South Africa, 17th July 2002 - Mosaic Software, the
global transaction processing software provider, today began the first day of
their fourth Postilion Future Growth Conference in Cape Town, South Africa.
Mosaic Software partners and clients from around the world are attending the
conference. During the conference, Mosaic Software will unveil their latest
products; outline the company's future growth strategy and technology roadmap;
and share experiences of selected Mosaic Software clients.
Throughout the three day event Mosaic Software will showcase their latest
product releases, as well as introducing visitors to some of the changes made
to existing products in their suite - often as the result of client's
suggestions. Clients with an interest in retail payments can see how Mosaic
Software's eSocket.POS application provides sophisticated EFT services at the
point of sale. eSocket.POS communicates with Postilion and is designed to
operate on individual cash registers or store servers.
Live demos will show how Mosaic Software's back office product, Postilion
Office, delivers information about every transaction a Postilion Realtime
system processes. Clients can also see how Postilion Office takes care of
transaction reconciliation and the settlement of funds between various business
partners that have a financial interest in transaction processing. The brand
new debit card management product, PostCard, will show how easy it is to put a
fully functional debit card system in place for any number of issuers, each
requiring very different services. Visitors will be able to 'test-drive'
PostCard through the use of new Web-based wizards.
Mobile payments technology demonstrations will show how Mosaic Software works
with Sonera SmartTrust to facilitate secure GSM phone-based authenticated
payments, from the replenishment of mobile airtime via prepay top-ups, to
paying for movies using Postilion's pay-per-view feature. Clients will also be
able to visit an Internet banking site for an indication of the types of
eCommerce transactions made possible with eSocket.web - Mosaic Software's
product used to introduce consumer transactions into a Postilion system via the
Internet. They can also try out new Postilion Integrated Payments for
eCommerce (PIPE) Web-based consoles, designed to be used by web merchants and
in call centres.
Partners play an important part in this information-sharing event, with
representatives from Stratus Technologies, NCR, Diebold and Sonera SmartTrust
contributing to the agenda. Mosaic Software clients will be sharing their
Postilion success stories with the audience, including Delta Business
Solutions, Polfon, Medlink, Cell C and E*Trade. Other key customers and
partners in attendance will be Logica, Retail Decisions, Capitec Bank and GE
