Charles River and Princeton Financial developed the bi-directional interface to support all investment classes, including equity, fixed income, currency and derivatives. The interface coordinates communication and processing of security master files (SMF), account, holdings and trade information between PAM and CRTS.
The Charles River Trading System automates the investment management process by providing portfolio managers, traders, compliance and operations personnel with portfolio management, order management and straight-through-processing (STP) capabilities. The system incorporates automatic account re-balancing and modeling, electronic trading via FIX, pre- and post-trade compliance monitoring, "what if" analysis, multi-currency cash forecasting and a manager workbench for portfolio management.
"As a mutual customer of Princeton Financial and Charles River, we're thrilled with the operational efficiencies gained by well-integrated trade order management and accounting systems," said Audrey Gan, Vice President of Operations at AEGON Capital Management (previously Transamerica Life). "Our portfolio managers and traders finally have a real-time portfolio management and trading system that is synchronized with our portfolio accounting environment."
