MELBOURNE, FLORIDA (August 12, 2002) Identitech, Inc. announces the signing of a multi-million dollar enterprise site license agreement with Los Angeles County’s Criminal Justice Division for use of Identitech’s FYI® suite of products and services. The Criminal Justice Division includes the following departments, Courts, Sheriff, District Attorney, Public Defender, and Probation. Felix Basadre, Project Director Information System Advisory Body (ISAB), states, "After careful evaluation, ISAB selected Identitech’s FYI product suite based on product function, scalability and their proven success within the government market."

Initially, the Criminal Justice Division will use FYI to manage documents and automate processes within the Probation Department. The department’s reporting process, which interfaces with all departments throughout the criminal justice system, will be automated using Identitech’s government framework solution, which includes, electronic forms, workflow, and document management. By automating this lengthy and complex process the county will reduce operating cost and provide better service for the County’s constituents. Additional projects for various other departments throughout the division are expected to follow.

Identitech’s President and COO, Paul Collins, stated, "The signing of this agreement reinforces our company’s commitment to the government sector. As more and more local government entities are realizing the efficiencies and cost savings to be achieved through process automation, FYI has become their solution of choice due to its scalability and unique ability to combine various technologies into one complete framework."
