Capital Access Bolsters European Presence; Appoints Hunter to UK Branch Management Post

Murray Hill, NJ – September 6, 2001 – Capital Access International, the premier provider of fixed-income market intelligence to the institutional broker/dealer community today announced the appointment of Mark Hunter as Senior Vice President – European Sales and Operations. This is the second in a series of key appointments signaling the expansion of Capital Access International’s business development efforts into targeted new markets worldwide.

In this role, Mark will manage the UK Branch Office and will be responsible for the European sales and administration teams. He will also serve as the local manager for the company’s client service, data research, and portfolio operations teams. Mark succeeds Darren Duffy who, following a brief transition period, will return full-time to the New Jersey World Headquarters of Capital Access in his recently announced promotion to Executive Vice President-Global Sales.

Hunter served in a series of key positions at Thomson Financial. Most recently he was Commercial Manager - DataStream International where he was responsible for developing and implementing numerous programs to manage and enhance business relationships with the firm’s largest accounts. Previously he was General Manager of First Call Institutional Services where he created and implemented a business restructure and completed an extensive hiring program in UK and Europe. Earlier, Hunter served successively as European Sales Manager and European Business Manager for The Investext Group where he led the firm’s European sales, marketing and client support groups and guided the European operation through a successful restructuring and significant period of growth. He also served as Sales Executive for ICCH’s risk management settlement systems.
