London, U.K., 5th September 2001 - HelioGraph, specialists in the financial
messaging technology sector, today announced that it has completed the port to
UNIX of its SWIFTReady Gold accredited, Helio Message Broker®.
Building on the success of the Windows based solution and recognising the demand from blue chip clients for support on the scaleable and high performance UNIX platforms, HelioGraph now extends its support to the market leading Sun Solaris operating system. HelioGraph has a close working relationship with S.W.I.F.T.and its decision to port to the Sun platform was certainly influenced by the results of a survey carried out by the industry owned co-operative: having consulted 5,000 users across 133 countries, S.W.I.F.T. selected Sun systems as the Unix platform of choice.
"Message Broker and its underlying data field dictionary architecture is widely
recognised as one of the most sophisticated financial middleware solutions on
the market and we're delighted to introduce the UNIX version of it. By doing so, HelioGraph is allowing those customers who require a UNIX solution to benefit from all the advantages which our Windows-based clients already enjoy." Comments Geoff Harries, Product Manager, HelioGraph.
Whilst market penetration of the Windows based platform continues to grow, due
to significant technology investment over the years, some large blue chip
clients continue to require product support on the UNIX platform. Availability
of a Solaris version of Message Broker® enables customers to leverage their
existing investment in UNIX infrastructure.
Christian Koerbler, Director at OeKB comments "The UNIX version is important to
our requirements and HelioGraph and ourselves are working toward implementing
this next phase of our STP strategy."
