MPS SECURES £300,000 SAGE ENTERPRISE CONTRACT

MPS has further cemented its position as a top Sage Enterprise Solutions partner after securing a £286,000 contract to supply a complete 64-user turnkey solution to design and print company Allied Publicity Services (APS.)
The MPS solution brings together Sage Enterprise, Datalinx and MPS-developed software, and includes both Business Alerts and Internet functionality that will allow APS customers to use the Web to extract management information, make general enquiries and place orders.
Established 50 years ago as a print and mailing service, APS' services now include specialist healthcare communications, a PR and marketing consultancy, a design agency, digital reprographics, print production, print management services, finishing, storage and distribution facilities. Based in Stockport, Cheshire, APS employs 220 people and boasts many major blue-chip companies in the financial services, manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors as its customers.
Due to the company's rapid growth, APS found themselves in a situation where there were a number of disparate systems, but little consolidated management information available. There was no centralized company information regarding total sales, stock levels and costs, and an overall picture of
performance could only be arrived at by looking at each individual system in turn, which was costing the company unnecessary time and resource.
Following a lengthy evaluation process of other leading ERP applications, APS selected as its core application Sage Enterprise. When it came to choosing a business partner to implement and support the system, the team at APS were impressed with the responsiveness, competence and synergy demonstrated by MPS. David Shields, commercial director of APS, commented: "MPS was able to show
that it understood the business needs of APS, and that its technical ability, particularly with Microsoft and ODBC functionality, would help to meet these needs competently." By integrating the many existing applications, the MPS solution will minimize the need for manual consolidation work, thus saving APS valuable time and money. management information available to APS staff.
