Since 1993, LogicScope has built up a highly successful franchise from its London headquarters, and now plans to repeat that success on Wall Street and across North America. The US market is ripe for its range of connectivity applications, regarded by many as vital to the trading room environment. LogicScope will also explore a number of strategic partnerships to build a totally integrated solution using best of breed components for the trading room.
Nick Dyne, CEO of LogicScope says, “The US market has a great deal of untapped potential for the services that LogicScope can provide. We are very excited to have on board someone with Emilio’s expertise and wide network of contacts in the US to drive our efforts.”
Mercado, named CEO of LogicScope North America, brings a wealth of experience to LogicScope. He has held key technology and marketing roles at organisations such as Reuters, Bridge, Merrin Financial, Ixnet and Rich Inc. In a period of unprecedented expansion and change, he has led teams to implement co-ordinated information delivery architectures, and has run technical client service departments and managed third party vendor relations.
Says Mercado “LogicScope is one of the rare companies that has successfully navigated its way through many turbulent market changes over the past decade. Its ability to adapt to ever-changing demands and its unparalleled software solutions attracted me to the company. I am very much looking forward to working with its first-class management team to take advantage of this opportunity in the US market.”
