Macalla Software Announces Technology Partner Teaming Agreement with Sun Microsystems Following Deployment of Europe's Largest Mobile Banking and Pre-paid Top-Up Program

ANAHEIM, Calif., BAI's Retail Delivery Conference - December 11, 2001 -Macalla Software, Europe's leading mobile commerce platform provider,announced today that they have formed a Technology Partner Teaming Agreement with Sun Microsystems in order to maximize mobile eCommerce opportunities amongst banks and mobile operators. This announcement follows the successful roll-out in Europe by Postbank, one of Holland's largest retail banks, and Telfort, a mobile network operator and subsidiary of mmO2, of combined mobile banking and pre-paid top-up services. This deployment has at its core Macalla's Mobile Commerce Platform running on Sun's Enterprise 10000(tm) servers and Sun's Solaris(tm) operating environment.

An important part of Sun's mobile enterprise solutions, the Macalla Mobile
Commerce platform is a next-generation open and modular software platform
for secure, scalable and consistent multi-device delivery of information and
transaction systems across multiple digital channels.
