Yasmeen Ahmad

At Teradata, Yasmeen has worked across multiple sectors, including finance, telecommunications and retail, bringing her expertise in the role of a Data Scientist. Yasmeen works with businesses to identify their current challenges and redefine these in an analytical context. In particular, this work focuses on how businesses can leverage new or untapped sources of data, alongside novel techniques to enhance the capabilities of an organisation, in an increasing, analytically competitive landscape. Yasmeen has worked with many analytical teams, providing leadership, training, guidance and hands-on support to deliver use cases, which provide actionable insights and business outcomes. This has entailed various analytical approaches, including text analytics, predictive modelling, development of attribution strategies and time series analysis. Previous to Teradata, Yasmeen has experiencing of working as a Data Scientist in the life sciences domain, building analytical pipelines for complex, multi-dimensional data types. Yasmeen also holds a PhD in Data Management, Mining and Visualisation, through which she has published several papers internationally. Yasmeen has experience of speaking at International conferences and events, as well as teaching on MSc courses related to Data Science and Business Intelligence.
