Hans Tesselaar is the executive director of the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN), a worldwide not-for-profit association with over 30 technology and banking members. BIAN aims to create the de-facto open standard for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for the banking industry, by encouraging its members to adopt common, interoperable approaches and development techniques.
Tesselaar has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, within banks, insurance companies and pension funds. He previously held various management positions within ING, including chief IT architect and director of sourcing, innovation and governance. His areas of expertise include strategic business planning, enterprise architecture, IT operations and innovation.
