Mission Statement

Our mission is to reduce the regulatory burden for our clients through the use of cutting-edge, easy-to-operate technology and world-class talent.
Headquartered in the UK, Impendium operates throughout the global regulated markets and serves clients worldwide. As trading and financial regulations grow tighter, Impendium has extended its offering to cover utilities and the oil and gas sectors. We employ subject-matter experts who are able to interpret regulations that impact organisations operating in the North American, European and Asian markets as well as leveraging the regulatory services of Deutsche Börse Group.

Impendium is a dynamic organisation, oriented towards people and modern technology. We provides regulatory applications on a customisable cloud platform.

The Impendium Platform is a specifically engineered regulatory platform. The Regulatory Expert Committee made up of industry and regulatory experts from Deutsche Börse Group, studies the global regulatory roadmap continuously and ensures that key regulatory components are incorporated directly into the platform. Impendium is able to service many current financial regulations such as MiFID I and EMIR and has an extensive roadmap which includes FinfraG, REMIT and MiFID II

As early as 2005 we recognised that a regulatory transformation was sweeping the financial world and foresaw the burdens increasingly placed on regulated organisations. As a first mover we created an innovative software platform from the ground up, one specifically designed with achieving regulatory compliance in mind: the Impendium Platform.
Impendium Systems was acquired in January 2014 by Deutsche Börse AG, adding its world-class regulatory platform to Deutsche Börse’s diverse client offerings.

The changing regulatory agenda is one of the biggest drivers of operational change for all financial and non-financial services organisations. Firms must understand and implement multiple new rules imposed at national, regional and global levels. Additional uncertainty constantly arises as each jurisdiction and region moves at a different pace, applying its own interpretation to the common approach. Changing regulations coupled with changing regulatory systems further increase the burden on firms.

The Impendium Platform provides cost-effective regulatory and business solutions for all types of financial services organisations. Whether you are a multi-asset-class investment bank or specialist investment manager, the Impendium Platform can quickly and efficiently provide a rapidly deployable solution to a single regulation or a strategic enterprise solution to the regulatory roadmap.
One of the main compliance challenges faced by organisations is extracting from existing systems and processing it. The Impendium Platform features a customisable integration layer that allows you to upload data from a range of legacy applications. Integration with internal systems are available such as flat file, FTP, XLS, CSV formats, real-time web feeds and messaging via MQ.

Regardless of where you operate in the world, the quantity of requirements from regulators, central banks and other authorities is higher than it has ever been. The challenges, be they technical or business-related, can be complicated, time-consuming and often open to interpretation. The Impendium Platform not only offers a number of time- and cost-saving features but also delivers various benefits to subscribers.
