Video: Fintech to become future of financial services, says Kalifa

Ron Kalifa and Charlotte Crosswell discuss how the UK can become more attractive for fintechs post-Brexit as the sector looks to expand at pace

The UK’s role in the financial services ecosystem has been uncertain since the Brexit vote in 2016, but with Brexit finally complete, the UK government wants to put fintech at the heart of what it offers businesses.

As part of the government’s desire to become more attractive to fintechs moving forward, The Kalifa Review of UK Fintech was commissioned and released back in February 2021.

Bobsguide spoke to the author of the review, Ron Kalifa OBE, and former CEO of Innovate Finance, Charlotte Crosswell to discuss what the review means for fintech, what the next steps are, what challenges the sector faces and what success will look like a few years down the line.
