From insurance to credit cards, this week’s round-up of senior fintech people moves covers the gamut of financial services across firms in Canada, Spain and Sweden. As we head into summer, the frenetic pace of technology hiring has slowed down. In this round-up, we cover the most interesting moves from the past week.

TD

BNY Mellon veteran, Kevin Fedigan, has moved on from his technology transformation role at Citi, which he held for the past year. Fedigan, who joined Citi in April 2021 as head of operations and technology, has taken up a new post at Canadian financial corporation, TD.

Based in New York, Fedigan will lead the firm’s wealth management technology initiatives. Prior to his Citi role, he spent nearly two decades at BNY Mellon in various fintech management roles. This included five years as CIO of broker dealer services and four years as CIO of asset servicing.

Diners Club

The Spanish division of credit card provider, Diners Club, has hired Vicente Escorihuela Ferrer as its new chief information officer. Ferrer joined the firm in June, after four years and nine months spent at the Spanish branch of Equadorian financial services firm, Banco Pichincha. During his tenure, Ferrer helped launch Pichincha’s challenger bank entity, PiBank.

His career also includes roles at Spanish private bank, Caminos, regional bank, Carlet, and payment solutions provider, Grupo Necomplus.

If Insurance

Swedish insurer, If, has hired Ossian Ericson as a cloud solutions architect for the business. Ericson took on the role in June, after four years spent in a senior solutions architect at Nasdaq. He jumped to Nasdaq in January 2018, after one year spent as CTO of Swedish asset manager, Alfred Berg.

Ericson spent the bulk of his career at Zurich Insurance, where he held various IT infrastructure roles between 2000 and 2013, and was latterly an infrastructure technologies manager.
