U.K. retail and commercial bank Secure Trust Bank (STB) has selected FIS Balance Sheet Manager Select Edition (formerly Ambit Focus Out-of-the-Box) to help build its business while managing its risks.
Founded in 1952, STB provides savings accounts and lending services to over 1.5 million consumers and business customers. With a prudent approach to underwriting, capital and liquidity, it needed a fast, sophisticated yet cost-effective solution for not only risk management but also compliance with an increasing range of regulatory requirements, such as reporting on Pillar 2 liquidity (PRA110).
Preconfigured to meet a small bank’s risk and regulatory needs under dynamic scenarios, Balance Sheet Manager Select is quick and easy to set up. So it has provided an ideal answer for STB in its drive to continue expanding the balance sheet without increasing either risks or costs.
As well as promising a rapid implementation process, the solution will be hosted and maintained by FIS in the public cloud as part of a fully managed service, including managed application and upgrade services, and technical support.
Balance Sheet Manager Select is built on FIS’ mature, scalable platform for balance sheet management, which was recently named bank ALM system of the year in the Risk Technology Awards and best provider of functionality and coverage by Celent. With its preconfigured version of the system, STB can now implement a best-of-breed system within both a short timeline and a tight budget.
