Woburn, MA, US -- Wall Street Horizon, the leading provider of market-moving corporate event data, today announced an expansion of its relationship with Interactive Brokers to include direct API access to Wall Street Horizon event data. Interactive Brokers’ (IBKR) Trader Workstation (TWS) customers can now choose from over 40 Wall Street Horizon corporate event types via Interactive Brokers’ API.
Sophisticated equity and options traders and investors alike rely on corporate event data to either capitalize on event-related volatility or avoid its risks in a given equity or its underlying option. Wall Street Horizon event data is available via IBKR API and contains 40 event classes ranging from earnings and dividend dates to analyst/capital markets days and investor conferences.
A unique dataset included is DateBreaks 3.0, Wall Street Horizon earnings date revisions. DateBreaks is comprised of time-stamped earnings date confirmations, reschedules and detailed changes – “corporate body language” that anticipates volatility. In addition, the DateBreaks factor shows when an earnings date (confirmed or revised) falls outside its 5-year trend -- a strong indicator of corporate behavior.
Wall Street Horizon has recently increased its worldwide coverage to 9,000 publicly traded companies including NYSE, NASDAQ, OTC, FTSE 100, CAC 40, DAX 30, Hang Seng 50, Nikkei 225, EAFE and Dow Jones STOXX 1000 constituent companies.
“We chose to collaborate with Wall Street Horizon since they are known for providing highly accurate and comprehensive forward-looking event data,” said Yochai Korn, Global Head of Market Data and Research at Interactive Brokers, “This expanded offering will provide TWS customers with best-in-class corporate event data in a timely manner.”
“Interactive Brokers has been a premier participant since 2010 and we have seen a steady increase in users,” said Barry L. Star, CEO, Wall Street Horizon. “We are pleased to offer IBKR clients direct API access to Wall Street Horizon data which will enable more sophisticated traders to incorporate this data directly into their trading systems.”
