AIM Software continues North American expansion with appointment of new Sales Manager

AIM Software, the global leading provider of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) software products to the buy-side, has appointed new Sales Manager, James Woodford, to its growing North American sales team.

AIM Software has been growing rapidly in the North American buy-side market. Reporting to Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer Josef Sommeregger, James will be responsible for further accel-erating AIM Software’s growth and developing new business opportunities in the United States and Canada. He will be based in the New York office.

James brings to AIM Software over 24 years of experience in financial information and data manage-ment technology. Before joining AIM Software, he was Sales Manager at SmartStream Reference Data Utility. Prior to that, James held several senior sales and business development positions in New York including at NYSE Euronext, Portware, Lava trading and Bloomberg.

James Woodford, commenting on his appointment, said: “I am thrilled to join such a fast growing and innovative company as AIM Software. North American buy-side institutions are facing major challenges, which are forcing them to rethink how they approach data. AIM Software has revolutionized the EDM space. With productized applications that empower the business end-user, AIM enables clients to im-plement data management best practices while increasing their business agility; an approach that clearly resonates with the needs of buy-side firms across North America."

Josef Sommeregger added: "We’re delighted to welcome James to the North America team as Aim Software continues to strengthen its sales and implementation capacity in this key market. AIM Software has been growing fast in the US in the last year, and recently added its first Canadian customer. As we continue to implement our aggressive growth strategy, James will play an important role in serving our existing client base and driving new business opportunities.

AIM Software is the fastest growing, independent and award-winning provider of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) business applications to the buy side. We provide fully productized business applications that empower buy-side institutions to increase their business agility through strategic data management. With offices in Vienna, New York, London, Luxembourg, Zurich and Paris, we are a global organization and support our clients wherever they do business.

Our best-in-class business applications combine pre-built packages of business workflows with a modern data management platform (“GAIN”). We continuously enhance and fully maintain all functionalities and workflows as part of the product. Unlike the classic “toolkit” approach to EDM, our productized approach means minimal custom developments, resulting in quicker implementations and faster ROI, and a lower total cost of ownership.

In 2015, AIM Software received a majority investment from Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), a private equity firm that focuses on investing in high growth businesses. WCAS identified AIM Software’s business applications as an industry “game-changer”.
