Varonis Attains Common Criteria EAL 2+ Certification

Internationally Recognized Security Certification Reinforces Varonis’ Commitment to Government and Enterprise Customers

Varonis Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:VRNS), a leading provider of software solutions that protect data from insider threats and cyberattacks, today announced that it has received the Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 2+ certification for the Varonis data security platform that includes DatAdvantage, Data Classification Framework, DatAlert, Data Transport Engine v6.2.38.0 and DataPrivilege v6.0.113 as prescribed by the International Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA). Varonis’ data security platform collects, stores and analyzes metadata non-intrusively, in real-time, allowing organizations to analyze, secure, manage and migrate their volumes of unstructured data.

Common Criteria is an internationally recognized security certification required by the U.S. and 26 other country governments around the globe seeking to procure commercial products. Common Criteria certification also assures businesses that a product has been certified as meeting a standard measure of security, whether it is used internally or in external customer solutions. Varonis completed evaluation at EAL 2+ level of the Common Criteria scheme, which addresses product functionality, development environment, documentation and product testing measures.

"Our data security platform has become a leader in data analytics, detection and sustainable threat prevention,” said George DeLisle, Director of Federal Sales at Varonis. “Receiving this high level of security certification demonstrates our commitment to meeting the highest standards and compliance requirements for our government and private-sector customers across the globe."

The evaluation was assisted by Corsec Security, Inc., who helps companies through the security certification and validation process, and performed by Epoche and Espri, S.L.U., who is an approved testing laboratory for Common Criteria and other certifications critical to U.S. and other government customers.
