SAS appoints Mark Wilkinson to Senior Regional Vice President in Europe

Wilkinson to head up North and West EMEA

SAS, the leader in analytics, has promoted Mark Wilkinson into a Senior Regional Vice President role for North and West EMEA, reporting directly into Carl Farrell, SAS Chief Customer Revenue Officer.

“Functioning as a global company is important to SAS and our customers,” said Farrell. “This is why I am expanding Mark’s current role to include northern and western Europe. Mark has continued to demonstrate that he is in tune with the changing markets and customer demands of northern Europe, and he is well positioned to take that knowledge and insight into other areas. He is a natural fit for positioning these sub-regions for further growth in 2017 and beyond.”

With an established career in software and management, Wilkinson has been with SAS since 2012, most recently as Regional Vice President for Northern Europe. His operations and sales strategy leadership will expand into ten additional countries.

“I look forward to continuing to do what I love to do – ensuring that business leaders can make sense of their data to transform how they operate,” said Wilkinson. “It’s an exciting time right now as more disruptive technologies and changing platforms come into existence, and being able to help our customers navigate these changes with SAS analytics is what gets me up every morning.”

Charles Senabulya is the new Vice President covering UK & Ireland, following Wilkinson’s change of role. He has been with SAS for approaching seven years, holding various leadership positions – most recently that of Sales Director for UK & Ireland. He will continue to report to Wilkinson as part of the new North and West EMEA management team.

“I’m delighted to take over from Mark with responsibility for the UK & Ireland region,” said Senabulya. “These are no doubt exciting times for the technology sector generally, in particular analytics. While the opportunities in our industry attract strong competition, I believe SAS’ long heritage as the market leader in analytics puts us in a great position to grow the business further over the coming years.”
