Evangelische Bank eG implements XENTIS as its central platform for portfolio management and for performing depositary functions. In addition, all order and trade management processes will be automated using xpass.
In view of growing client and order volume, Evangelische Bank eG has decided to optimise its portfolio management system and reduce time-consuming manual procedures, particularly with regard to order processing. It is also replacing the old system for custodian business so as to create a homogeneous system environment, with the goal of achieving greater automation, improved process quality and strategic growth through more efficient use of human resources.
After a feasibility study by itechx GmbH, a subsidiary of the Profidata Group, and a detailed system valuation process, Evangelische Bank eG decided that xpass and XENTIS offered the best solution. It was primarily impressed by xpass as order middleware, a solution that is already established at the cooperative bank network ‘Genossenschaftliche FinanzGruppe Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken’, and will be used by Evangelische Bank eG in conjunction with XENTIS. Arguments in favour of XENTIS included the extensive facilities it offers for integrated presentation of business processes for investment management. XENTIS Front Office allows Evangelische Bank eG to analyse the financial situation in detail and take profound trading decisions. Direct further processing of the resulting transactions takes place in XENTIS Middle and Back Office.
Michiel van der Meer, Division Manager Corporate Services (Organisation & IT) at Evangelische Bank eG, emphasises: ‘Achieving our strategic objectives requires the use of a software solution that can be tailored to our business model. The integrated investment management system XENTIS combined with xpass meets this requirement perfectly. We consider it equally important to have a reliable and conciliatory business partner like Profidata.’
For Peter Klein, Management Board Profidata Group, the advantages are clear: ‘The system configuration desired by Evangelische Bank to standardise investment processes can be implemented with XENTIS and xpass as required. More and more financial service providers are selecting XENTIS Front Office for asset and portfolio management. Besides, the integrated approach makes it possible to model different business activities and accordingly perform depository functions.’
