Risk Focus wins Silver in FTF Technology Innovation Awards

Risk Focus, the leading provider of regulatory trade reporting solutions to the global capital markets, has been awarded ‘Silver’ in the prestigious FTF News Technology Innovation Awards. In what is only its first year of nomination for the award, Risk Focus was quickly shortlisted and subsequently awarded Silver for ‘Best Derivatives Operations Solution’.

FTF describes the purpose of the Technology Innovation Awards as recognizing and celebrating the professionals, financial technology vendors, service providers, industry bodies and regulators that have made significant strides and noteworthy achievements in operational excellence during 2015.

Brian Lynch, CEO of Risk Focus, commented: “Because we provide such a specialist service to clients we enter very few awards, as most tend to be too broad. However, this FTF innovation award focuses on post-trade, and as such is relevant to Risk Focus. I am delighted that we have won Silver in our first entry; this will certainly spur us on for next year. This is very much a team win for us and it’s indicative of the quality of our services and the successful relationship we have with our clients.” Lynch adds: “On behalf of us all at Risk Focus I would like to thank everyone who has voted for us. I would also like to congratulate OpenLink on winning gold.”

Risk Focus was awarded Silver for Validate.Trade. Described as the original data validation Multi-Tool, Validate.Trade is being used by the DTCC and eight global banks to validate the quality and integrity of their trade reporting data. Messages are validated in real time before being submitted to the GTR (the DTCC Global Trade Repository), helping firms to deliver and maintain compliance with EMIR, Dodd-Frank and other G20 regulatory demands. The service is at multiple points in the trade reporting lifecycle and is used to reduce the risks and costs associated with regulatory reporting.

The FTF award winners were announced on April 25th and the results will be celebrated at The FTF News awards gala held on May 17th at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York, NY.
