ISACA CEO Matt Loeb Named ASAE Fellow

ISACA CEO Matt Loeb, CGEIT, CAE, FASAE, was named to ASAE’s 2016 Class of Fellows today. Loeb is one of only 251 individuals to receive this recognition since the program’s inception in 1986.

To earn this prestigious honor bestowed on less than 1% of ASAE members, a candidate must first be nominated by another ASAE member. ASAE selects their Fellows based on letters of endorsement, a review of experience and credentials, and individual interviews. A candidate must demonstrate exemplary service to the ASAE community, as well as continued leadership and service in the profession of association management. Fellows serve as authors, speakers, mentors, volunteer leaders, supporters and advocates on behalf of the association management industry.

“It is truly an honor and a privilege to be selected by ASAE and my association industry peers to receive this prestigious recognition,” said Loeb. “I plan to step up my personal commitment to give back to an industry that has done so much for me and, more importantly, for society. I look forward to supporting my association colleagues to enable them to be the best they can be every day, and to partner with them to significantly enhance the visibility, influence and impact of the association industry globally.”

Loeb joined the Rolling Meadows, Ill.-based ISACA as CEO in September 2014. In the 18 months since, ISACA has established a new global advocacy program; released the industry’s first vendor-neutral, performance-based cybersecurity certification; launched a series of cybersecurity conferences worldwide; and acquired the CMMI Institute to further its strategy to inspire confidence in technology that helps enterprises enable innovation and improve business performance. Prior to joining ISACA, Loeb was staff executive for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the executive director of the IEEE Foundation. His experience includes enterprise strategy, corporate development, global business operations, governance, publishing, sales, marketing, product development and acquisitions functions in a variety of for-profit and nonprofit organizations.

ISACA is the voice of the information systems audit, cybersecurity, risk management, and technology governance professions. A global association of more than 140,000 professionals in 180 countries, ISACA recently established Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX) to address the global cybersecurity skills shortage and help organizations develop strong cyber workforces through skills-based training and performance-based assessment. ISACA also offers COBIT, a business framework that helps organizations govern and manage their information and technology.
