S&P Dow Jones Indices (“S&P DJI”) is now using SIX Financial Information’s Valordata Feed to track activity on its indices for monitoring and licensing purposes.
S&P DJI, one of the world’s leading index providers, has decided to rely on SIX Financial Information’s Valordata Feed for index usage data to support its index sales and licensing operations. The Valordata Feed captures a broad range of reference data and valuation prices including current ownership hierarchies, funds composition information and corporate actions. Its data is structured so clients can achieve high levels of automation.
Thanks to the Valordata Feed, S&P DJI will be able to monitor the results of new index launches across the regions. S&P DJI can also download the data to its own database and create customized license reports on-site. The immediate availability of the data in such reports allows S&P DJI to quickly track licensing activity.
"The data provided by SIX Financial Information considerably supports us in our efforts in identifying trends and reacting to the needs of our clients all around the world," says Bryan Hahn, Head of Sales & Licensing EMEA, S&P Dow Jones Indices.
"We are proud that S&P Dow Jones Indices has chosen to rely on our index data offering," says John McManus, Head of Sales US, UK and Ireland at SIX Financial Information. He adds, "This is the first time that our data is used as a sales and licensing management service by a globally recognized index provider."
