GFT, the leading provider of advisory, business consulting, IT and software services to the investment banking community, today announces that it has appointed Dr Wolfgang Mantke as a Principal Consultant within its growing risk management practice.
With his appointment, Wolfgang brings extensive experience in designing, implementing and employing risk management solutions.
Wolfgang joins from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in London, where he spent three years as a Market Risk Manager within their investment banking division. His responsibilities included managing stress testing activities and capital management. Throughout his career in the financial sector, Wolfgang has worked extensively in both market and credit risk.
Before joining RBS, Wolfgang spent six years working as a Financial Engineer at Algorithmics, where he implemented their risk management solution suite for a number of financial institutions. Prior to working in finance, Wolfgang supported the planning, controlling and operative business processes of industrial clients with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
Holding a PhD in physics from GA Tech and an MBA from ESC Lyon, Wolfgang is drawn to work where he can apply both scientific thinking and business logic.
When asked to explain his thoughts on joining GFT, Wolfgang commented: “I’m excited about being in a key position to help integrate the capabilities of GFT with those of Rule Financial, the capital markets specialist acquired by GFT earlier this year, delivering important client offerings that include both business consulting and technical solution implementation.”
