InvestTech Completes Charles River Implementation at Pension Fund Client

InvestTech Systems Consulting, LLC announces the successful completion of a project to implement and upgrade Charles River Development Investment Management System (CRIMS) Version 9 on behalf of a Canadian pension fund client. The client is one of Canada’s largest and most diversified institutional investment fund managers, with an investment portfolio of approximately $70 billion CAD, serving pension, endowment and government funds. The scope of investments addressed in the project reflected the global reach of the client’s investment and trading strategies.

InvestTech provided professional consulting resources and expertise to lead and support the client during the entire project lifecycle beginning with project initiation, continuing through planning, development and testing, and concluding with post production support. Throughout the program, InvestTech led and assisted in all aspects of the Charles River implementation including business user workflow analysis, development, compliance rule writing, interface specifications and technical activities such as scheduling, overnight system processes, and migration between environments.

The Charles River work stream was one of several integrated projects in the client’s overall business transformation program. Other critical program work streams on which InvestTech provided subject matter expertise and assistance included the implementation of SimCorp Dimension, Eagle Investment Systems’ PACE Data Management Solution and the upgrade of Calypso, as well as the implementation of Tibco as the ETL Layer for multiple applications. Bob Carrier, InvestTech Engagement Manager stated, “InvestTech ensured that the client incorporated recommended OMS industry standards and adhered to robust data management practices.”
