The joint venture between Isis and a number of mobile operators in the US is set to be extended, with a new program designed to offer greater support to merchants.
Its Isis Alliance Program has been created to offer support for merchant technology ecosystem partners, through the use of exclusive tools and resources, which capitalise on the opportunities created by mobile payments.
Jim Stapleton, chief sales officer at Isis, said the new program will serve as a resource where companies looking to deploy mobile commerce solutions can access the tools and information required to do so.
"The Isis Alliance Program will help companies harness the competitive advantages created by mobile commerce and better serve merchant customer needs."
The roll-out of this Isis Alliance Program follows the nationwide launch of the free mobile wallet app recently, which enables consumers to use their smartphones to pay for goods and services.
AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless subscribers will be able to make mobile payments using their NFC-enabled phones.
