Independent UK technology consultancy adds financial services expert to bolster continued expansion in the sector
Consult Hyperion, the leading independent technology consultancy in the field of secure electronic transactions, has just announced the appointment of financial services sector expert, Chris Horswell to its growing team.
Chris joins the team in the newly created role of Commercial Manager - Financial Services and will support Consult Hyperion's continued growth in the financial services sector. His previous experience includes roles at Nationwide and Visa Europe, and at technology providers Oberthur Card Systems and most recently Giesecke & Devrient. Chris brings to the role a unique understanding, from all sides of the table, of the challenge that banks face in delivering great customer service whilst driving operational efficiency.
"We are pleased to welcome Chris to our team with his vast knowledge and experience from across the European financial services sector", said Neil McEvoy, CEO, Consult Hyperion. "He will be invaluable in growing our role as expert, trusted advisors to financial services customers, enabling them to maximise the benefits of new transaction technologies."
Chris Horswell said, "I've known Consult Hyperion for many years and have worked with them on projects as the customer and a technology partner, so understand firsthand the depth of expertise within the team across a variety of sectors, and especially their strong work for the banks and card schemes. It's an exciting time to join the team. Technology has ensured that the financial services landscape has changed dramatically in recent years and has facilitated the entrance of new near-bank players. Banks need expert advice to retain their position and to leverage their strengths of scale, process, regulation and security. Consult Hyperion has a key role to play here."
Consult Hyperion has seen its turnover increase significantly over the last two years. The Guildford based consultancy opened an office in New York in November 2012 and has just launched a dedicated mobile money practice. The addition of Chris to the commercial team will help to ensure that Consult Hyperion continues its expansion as it looks to build upon the successes already gained with banks, financial sector technology providers, transit operators and mobile operators worldwide.
