FPGA platform is the first complete IBM-based solution available from BittWare as an approved IBM Industry Solution Reseller (ISR), designed for financial and network processing applications.
BittWare, the leader in Altera-based FPGA COTS boards, announced today that they have received IBM Industry Solution Reseller (ISR) approval and that they have collaborated with IBM and Network Allies, an IBM Business Partner and Industry Solution Integrator (ISI), to provide their customers with an Altera® Stratix®-based server platform for Financial Acceleration, High Frequency Trading (HFT) and network processing applications. IBM provides ISR-status through theirBusiness Partner program, ensuring that all platform components including chassis, processors, memory, disk drives, internal storage, redundant array of independent disks (RAID) and FPGA-based COTS boards work together seamlessly. The first application-ready IBM platform available from BittWare - the PCIe Financial Acceleration Platform - is based on BittWare's Altera Stratix V PCI Express boards and IBM® System x® server. The platform provides a fully tested FPGA-based system ready for deployment to the financial industry, significantly minimizing their risk and lowering the cost associated with bringing their Financial Acceleration and HFT solutions to market.
"BittWare's product development teams have worked closely with IBM hardware to ensure that our Stratix V-based PCIe boards configure seamlessly with IBM System x servers," stated Ron Huizen, Vice President of Systems and Solutions at BittWare. "We're pleased to be able to provide our customers with a complete ready-to-deploy FPGA-based server solution for their complex financial and networking applications that meets the high quality standards our customers have come to expect."
