Capco and Hetrick-Martin Institute Announce Pro-Bono Partnership

Work with leading non-profit as part of Capco’s commitment to Corporate Responsibility

Capco, the global business and technology consultancy dedicated solely to the financial services industry, today announced it will be providing in-kind services to the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) in New York City, the oldest and largest organization in the US supporting gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

As part of a 3 month pro-bono engagement, Capco will be supporting HMI in the development of a technology and systems strategy to help optimize its operations and administrative systems. Key project deliverables include establishing a business requirements catalogue, conducting a best-fit software analysis and designing a target application landscape. The in-kind services that Capco will be providing to HMI are valued at $30000.

“We are thrilled to have Capco’s expertise to help HMI upgrade and integrate our IT landscape,” said Thomas Krever, executive director of Hetrick-Martin Institute. “Their support will make our operations and administrative systems more effective, allowing us to better serve the at-risk and homeless LGBTQ youth who rely on HMI for services, support and a sense of community.”

Capco will also be donating refurbished laptops to support HMI’s academic enrichment program, as well as providing career skills workshops to HMI’s youth. In turn, HMI will be extending its expertise to help Capco in developing its internal LGBTQ network as part of its on-going commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive workforce.

“Capco’s commitment to corporate responsibility is part of our company’s DNA”, said Ismail Amla, Partner and North America CEO. “Through the partnership with HMI, Capco will leverage its core business and technology consulting skills to provide transformational change to an organization with a very important mission.”
