SIX Financial Information releases a new version of the VDF Event Diary providing back office professionals with the tools in hand to quickly and effectively track and analyze corporate action related events within the Valor Data Feed (VDF).
The VDF Event Diary is a powerful web-based solution supporting Corporate Actions and Reference Data Management professionals that allows users to search and filter corporate action information with a highly flexible and customizable graphical interface.
Florian Zainhofer, Product Manager for the VDF Event Diary, explains, “We are pleased to offer our clients the VDF Event Diary in ASP mode, a ‘plug-and-play’ solution that increases efficiency from day one and is based exclusively on the client’s instrument selection. This new release shows our commitment to constantly improving our solutions to ensure they carefully address industry key challenges and client needs.”
Companies benefit from the increased interdepartmental collaboration capabilities inherent in the new solution. Users can share watch lists, track flags and comments from other users, with an added level of security provided by the integrated audit trail that guarantees auditors the ability to retrace actions step by step whenever needed. The VDF Event Diary allows for more efficient work flows while minimizing financial and reputational risks.
More specifically, search results can be saved for repeated future use in the form of watch lists and shared among users, facilitating the distribution of tasks across several users and even entire teams. Users can access detailed reports corresponding to events of their interest and view entire report mutation histories. Additionally, clients can define customized status flags to assign to reports and add comments visible to colleagues. An audit trail function ensures that all user actions can be re-traced at any time while reports can be exported flexibly at the click of a mouse.
The ASP service for the VDF Event Diary is delivered by SIX Financial Information Solutions and developed together with AIM, a SIX Financial Information software partner.
