Farzine Fazel aligns the full spectrum of Capco’s sourcing expertise and capabilities to service evolving client needs
Capco, a global business and technology consultancy dedicated solely to the financial services industry, today announced that Paris based Capco Partner Farzine Fazel will lead a newly configured and dedicated sourcing team.
Farzine Fazel comments, “Our strong foundations, combined with a current market climate of increasing demand for development and implementation of multi-year, complex projects, have led us to set up a dedicated line of business – sourcing offerings. This sits alongside our established consulting and transformation lines of business.”
The sourcing offerings business will provide an integrated approach, combining client access, Capco expertise and client assets in an on shore / near shore / off shore continuum, that fully leverages Capco’s delivery capabilities - including Capco’s recently established Bratislava-based near shore facility.
Farzine Fazel elaborates, “Capco’s sourcing offerings will provide the basis for ever greater levels of client trust, positioning us to transform implementation projects into multi-year sourcing engagements, delivering further enhanced support and value to our clients. The days of one approach fits all sourcing are long gone. Today, you need to provide a spectrum of experience and expertise that can be configured quickly, and at best cost, to closely reflect client needs and deliver results at pace. This is precisely what we will be able to do through our sourcing offerings. I look forward to working with a first class team to deliver against client expectations and build the Capco business in this evolving area.”
European CEO Peter Schurau adds, “Farzine’s leadership of Capco’s sourcing offerings will provide the bridge between our consulting and transformation offerings. It will also create further opportunities to engage with the bandwidth and expertise of our parent company, FIS, as and when clients require, as well as providing clients flexibility to select the sourcing models that most closely fit their developing needs. And that’s exactly what we are now configured to provide.”
Farzine Fazel was previously responsible for the Euronext sub-region for the firm, comprising Capco’s operations in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and French-speaking Switzerland. He is also a member of the Capco Global and European Management Teams, and has been a Partner at Capco since joining in 1998. He joined Capco from Ressources Informatiques Bancaires, where he was a Partner responsible for the capital markets consultancy group. Prior to this, he led major initiatives for Wang and ACT, where he led the rollout of the FX trading system throughout Europe. Capco's latest thought leadership paper, authored by Farzine, outlines how sourcing can be used to create a competitive advantage in financial services.
