Simplex, the market leading global transaction services provider, today announced the successful completion of an Independent Service Auditor’s Report certification by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the global professional services firm.
The award-winning Simplex Global Transaction Platform (GTP) is relied upon by banks, corporates and financial institutions internationally. In pioneering the transition from a narrow domestic SWIFT connectivity provider, Simplex recognised the need to provide independent and objective validation of the necessary processes and controls to deliver the most secure and reliable services demanded by global clients. To this end, Simplex have today announced the publication of an Assurance Report on Controls at a Service Organisation by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, in compliance with the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) No. 3402, as recognised by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB).
Simplex worked with PricewaterhouseCooopers LLP to conduct the comprehensive and independent Service Auditor’s Report, considering this standards-based methodology as providing the measurable and objective oversight and resilience assurance the market requires.
Philip Walsh, Simplex Chief Executive, stated: “The old traditional and narrow bureau technical certification model is increasingly ill-suited in providing the global compliance and oversight assurances the market demands today. Simplex has responded to these challenges by partnering with PricewaterhouseCooopers LLP, to commission an independent Auditor’s Report that provides the robust and transparent global compliance standards for today’s sophisticated financial messaging platform market.”
Neil Hewitt, Partner, Risk Assurance at PricewaterhouseCooopers, added: “PricewaterhouseCooopers LLP was engaged to report on Simplex’s description of its internal controls in respect of the Simplex Global Transaction Platform, and on the suitability of the design of controls to achieve the related control objectives stated in the description. We have successfully conducted this report and have been very pleased to work with Simplex in proving this comprehensive ISAE 3402 independent audit.”
The PricewaterhouseCoopers Independent Service Auditor’s Report on Simplex is now available upon request from Simplex.
