Worldwide Business Research (WBR), the world's biggest large-scale conference company and owner of the TradeTech portfolio, has selected Cognito to promote its flagship Asian event.
TradeTech Asia, the leading industry forum dedicated to high-level discussion on the major challenges facing the electronic trading market, will be held on 16 and 17 November at Grand Hyatt Singapore. At the event, over 650 trading and technology professionals with over 300 buy side traders will hear from pan-Asian influential speakers from all of the region’s major and emerging markets. Delegates will have the opportunity to meet with high profile exhibitors, including many of the region’s largest investment banks and trading technology providers.
"We have worked with Cognito since 2009 to promote a number of our TradeTech conferences, both in the UK and US, and we now extend this partnership to our Asian event. We are continuously impressed by Cognito’s understanding of the financial sector and their extensive relationships with the buy-side media and analyst community,” said Andrew Thake, Head of Research and Production for TradeTech Asia. “This year, TradeTech Asia will be the largest regional event with an increase in press attendance, including a notable spike in press registrations from top-tier publications. We look forward to working again with Cognito, drawing on their industry expertise and working knowledge of shows such as TradeTech Asia.”
The 2011 program will take on a brand new format, incorporating two co-located events: Trading Architecture day profiling ultra-low latency technology advancements for South East Asian traders and introducing next generation technology strategies for FX specialists, and Hedge Funds day to give insights on the trading and investment opportunities across Asia's booming hedge fund industry.
Some notable speakers confirmed at the conference include independent economist Andy Xie with a keynote predicting the next economic crisis, and Kevin Cronin, Global Head of Trading at Invesco talking about key factors shaping the equities trading industry.
Anne Karumo, Regional Director, Cognito Asia, added, “Cognito is thrilled to be working for the first time in Asia with WBR. TradeTech Asia is truly one of the highest caliber financial events, attracting an abundance of influential attendees across the region. The event is tailored to Asian traders to gain cutting edge information on growth potential across all Asian markets and it offers fresh insights to trading challenges. We look forward to working with WBR towards building a successful program this year.”
