Delivers new risk tools and enhancements across the system.
Tradar, provider of portfolio management and accounting software to the buy-side globally, has launched version 4.2 of its flagship product, Insight™. The new version incorporates a fully integrated risk engine, as well as significant enhancements to the core system to streamline workflow and improve usability.
The new risk functionality delivers increased transparency of risk and performance drivers within the portfolio, with on-demand analysis of exposure risk and performance including counterparty, liquidity and currency exposure. The risk elements have been fully integrated into the platform, which allows users to enjoy seamless workflows for managing order entry, operational control, compliance and risk within a single platform.
Trevor Headley, Global Head of Product Strategy and Delivery, Tradar, said: “We know that clients want to do more within Insight and this release is the result of us accelerating the development of our risk engine to meet client and market demand. In light of current and impending regulatory changes and increased demand for transparency from investors, it is crucial that funds can demonstrate robust processes around the three key areas of compliance, audit and risk. It is these challenges that the latest version has been designed to meet.”
Tradar has added support for the Bloomberg web service, offering clients the opportunity to switch from the current FTP link. This significantly reduces the time taken to set up new instruments. In addition, the performance analysis reporting engine, formerly the time-series engine, now includes a number of measures to provide more detailed analysis of performance and exposure reporting.
Other improvements include the support for the average cost methodology in the financial reporting suite, in response to demand from clients in the Asia-Pacific region. Significant improvements have been made to the underlying architecture of the technology to improve performance and workflow.
“We have made significant strides in adding market-leading product functionality over the last 12 months. This trend continues with Insight 4.2, with the key addition of the risk engine along with further enhancements to our core functionality and architecture,” continued Headley.
This news comes after a number of positive announcements for Tradar, including its recent acquisition of InvestmentManager from Odyssey Financial Technologies.
