John Purdy, CEO, Fenergo wins ‘Person of the Year’ at ICT awards

John Purdy, Chief Executive Officer of Fenergo has been named ‘Person of the Year' at the ICT Excellence Awards in Dublin. The award was granted in recognition for his achievements across the ICT sector, which include the establishment and growth of Fenergo’s parent organisation, Ergo, now one of Ireland’s leading professional IT services companies, and the successful transition to international markets of its banking products and services through Fenergo itself.

In recent years, Fenergo has achieved significant market success in the UK and EMEA with its Loan Management and Client On-Boarding product solutions, which meet a growing need of Financial Institutions to improve transparency, control and efficiency across these critical operations. It’s domestic parent, Ergo has also had an extraordinary year, winning a string of recognition awards, including Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award, the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Award, and being named as one of Ireland’s ‘Best Places to Work’.

Accepting the award, John Purdy said, “This could not have been achieved without the full support of my committed management team and staff. I am very proud of them and our joint achievements. It is such an honour to be recognised by my peers in this way.”

The Person of the Year award was selected by an independent panel of industry experts. Commenting on their choice, Eoin O'Driscoll, Chairman of the Judging Panel said, "We recognise John Purdy for his outstanding business performance over many years and his commitment to excellence. He is an inspiration to those around him, and has helped create one of the best IT companies in the country".

Now in its tenth year, the ICT Excellence Awards is Ireland's longest-running event in the sector, recognising outstanding achievers in the information and communications technology industry.
