Financial firms first to embrace iPad technology, report reveals
Financial firms are among the frontrunners when it comes to embracing new iPad technology, a new study has revealed.
According to a report by Good Enterprise, which provides enterprise mobility technology, the financial sector has seen the heaviest adoption of Apple’s latest high profile product.
Out of the 4,000 enterprise customers to have deployed a Good Enterprise application thus far, 36.8 per cent work within the financial services industry.
Other sectors with a large take up included the technology sector, which accounted for 11 per cent of the total, and the health care industry which accounted for ten per cent.
John Herrema, senior vice-president of corporate strategy at Good Technology, said: “We believe these industries are embracing the iPad because its unique design makes it easier to perform time-sensitive, mission-critical tasks.”
The publication of the research follows the launch of a new iPad app by investment bank JPMorgan.
According to the investment bank, the research app is aimed at providing its clients and customers with access to data and research from over 1,000 analysts.
