Connotate, a leading provider of solutions, which transform information from the Web and enterprise into user-empowered on-demand applications and actionable intelligence, today announced their inclusion in the "Innovative Information Access Companies Under $100M to Watch" study published byIDC.
The first study conducted by IDC of its kind, the nine companies selected by IDC as innovative information access companies were chosen based on how well they embodied one or more of three trends prevalent to information access software. The trends focused on software requiring minimal training and incorporating Web 2.0 capabilities; unified management of and access to information; and intelligent process automation. Companies were recognized on the final list based on their product adaptations and innovations addressing the trends IDC identified.
“IDC recognized Connotate for its innovative approach to harvesting and delivering Web information quickly to its customers in multiple formats, including targeted alerts, spreadsheets, data streams and time-series trending data that can be customized by each user, and shared with others" said Sue Feldman, IDC's VP for Search and Discovery technologies. "Some of the requirements for qualifying for this award included Web 2.0 interactivity, and unified access to multiple sources . Connotate provides both of these features, particularly with its Agent Studio. We congratulate them."
"Connotate is proud to be recognized as one of the innovative information access companies under $100M to watch list,” says Bruce Molloy, CEO of Connotate. “With top global publishers, content aggregators and distributors, financial services and government agencies relying on our solution to help them increase productivity while reducing costs, we’re proud of the product innovations we continue to develop. It makes us even more committed to deliver not only a high value solution but, more importantly, a high-value solution that delivers an amazing ROI.”
IDC's "Companies to Watch" reports are a qualitative evaluation of a set of vendors within a specific market – they are not a stack ranking nor do they represent an exhaustive evaluation of all companies in a segment or a comparative ranking of the companies in the report.
