Kings Transport & Logistics, part of The Kings Group, a leading transport and logistics company based in Australia, has selected SunGard’s AvantGard Receivables to support its credit and collections operations. Kings Transport will use AvantGard in support of its plans to expand into international markets, to help it improve visibility into its collections process across the organization, as well as to help mitigate corporate credit risk.
AvantGard will replace an existing credit and collections system that could not support Kings Transport’s high volume of accounts or global requirements. AvantGard will help the company manage its various business units’ credit and collections departments using a single solution, helping management gain a holistic view of cash and liquidity at any given time. AvantGard will also provide improved reporting functionality and more accurate cash forecasting.
Luke Cieslak, national credit manager at Kings Transport, said, “In order to help ensure that our company expansion is successful, it is vital that we have the tools in place to effectively manage our multiple businesses. We choose SunGard because it is held in high regard within the Australian credit industry. Additionally, the AvantGard solution offers the functionality we require, including automated collection processes, robust reporting and customer risk profiling to support collection- and dispute-based activities and analysis. We anticipate that the solution will affect our bottom line by helping us to lower days sales outstanding (DSO) and improve productivity, while maintaining staff size as we experience global growth.”
Tom Clipston, managing director of SunGard’s corporations business in Australia and New Zealand, said, “A large part of a successful global expansion is having the appropriate processes and technology in place to support such an initiative. We are pleased that Kings Transport has chosen SunGard’s AvantGard to support its credit-risk, collections and dispute management activities as it grows its business.”
