Atech Systems Takes Control of Business Payment Processes with Albacsip from Albany Software

Atech Systems, provider of wholesale telephone line rental and billing, as well as fully integrated communications solutions to businesses, has selected ALBACSip from e-transaction software author Albany Software to update and streamline its payment processes. This automated e-payment platform will comprehensively manage Atech’s several hundred monthly transactions, affording the company a more controlled and fluid cash flow, improving budget management, time and cost efficiency and reducing carbon footprint.

Albany Software’s ALBACSip is set to bring significant time savings to Atech whilst handing the organisation autonomy over its payments. Alex Horton, Director of Atech Systems, comments, “We previously used a third party supplier to manage our direct debits, but we can now use ALBACSip to produce our own mandates to collect direct payments from our customers.” Horton continues, “ALBACSip is poised to manage all of our telephone billing traffic and will make our business processes leaner, improving our cash flow and bringing control of all our payments back into the business.”

With the roll out of ALBACSip, Atech will also abandon cheques and standing orders, replacing them with direct debits payments. Horton says, “Processing cheques and standing orders is always a very time-consuming exercise, involving daily manual processes and lots of paperwork, constant reconciliations, as well as added cost implications.” He adds, “All these processes will now become fully automated, allowing us to see precisely when funds are delivered to suppliers so that we can keep full visibility of budget and cash flow.”

With Albany’s ALBACSip software, Atech Systems will have the capability to operate as a direct debit originator with its chosen bank. This will allow Atech to set up direct debits on behalf of clients so they no longer need to be responsible for arranging standing orders or remembering to post cheques. Horton comments, “Our customers won’t have to worry about remembering payments. All they have to do is sign a direct debit mandate and we can organise the rest. We want to make our service to them as simple as possible whilst also being the most efficient solution for us and ALBACSip enables us to do that”

Atech has recently moved to brand new offices and increased headcount in line with its ongoing expansion strategy, as yet unaffected by the current uncompromising market place. The purchase of ALBACSip is helping to compliment Atech’s growth, making the expansion process more manageable by reducing resource spent on managing outgoing cash flow. Horton explains, “We are really bucking the trend at the moment with our growing business, and are now completely autonomous with full control over our payments.” He concludes, “Good budget and cash flow management have never been more important to businesses than they are in the current challenging market. ALBACSip is a powerful tool which helps significantly with both of these key considerations.”
