LINEDATA Concludes 12th Annual Client Conference

Linedata Services (NYSE-Euronext: LIN), the global leader for investment software, solutions and support, today announced the conclusion of its 12th annual client conference: Balance. The conference attracted clients from the US, UK and Europe, spanning the traditional asset management space, such as mutual funds, as well as hedge funds and the fund accounting staff that supports both groups.

The three-day event emphasized a theme of Balance, helping clients stabilize, mobilize, and capitalize on the opportunities in this current unstable market. The event, held at the Fairmont Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona, also emphasized convergence and cross-product functionality, marking the first year that the conference brought together some of the products and clients from the firm's traditional, hedge fund, and fund accounting businesses.

"The Linedata Client Conference always provides an important opportunity to update clients and exchange views, but this is especially critical in unstable markets like the one we're in now," said Annie Morris, Managing Director for Linedata Services in North America. "This year's conference presented some of our recent product innovations but focused on the future - where clients are taking their businesses, and how regulatory and market structure changes are affecting their organizations. This supported the main goal for the conference: exploring what Linedata can do to help clients maintain balance as the markets are transformed."

Conference highlights included the unveiling of LongView 7, a significant release of the award-winning LongView OMS that includes new and enhanced functionality across all areas of the system, Dashboard and Scheduling functionality in MFact, and enhanced risk and transparency features in the Linedata Hedge Fund Solutions and Linedata Compliance products.

Notable sessions included this year's keynote address by author and industry observer Daniel Strachman on The Collision Between Hedge Funds and Mutual Funds, and partner and client panel discussions.

"The Linedata Client Conference is always an excellent investment of my time. This content-rich program is much more than just an overview of Linedata's recent developments in products and services, but also the high-level strategy and analysis that helps me succeed in the year ahead," said Richard Simpson, Partner in charge of IT for TT International. "The Balance conference was especially valuable, bringing together perspectives from pre-trade through post-settlement, in the alternative and traditional space. I look forward to attending again next year."

"As a senior executive, I must allocate my time very carefully, as it is my most important resource. The Linedata Client Conference was the most productive use of my time this year," said Allan Chiulli, CEO of UAT, Inc. "The benefits from the Balance conference were broad and deep. The knowledge I gained at the conference provides me, as a client, with a much-improved understanding of how Linedata operates from both product direction and big picture perspectives. I very much look forward to attending next year's conference."
