African Banking Corporation selects BankWorld

CR2, a global provider of self service banking software solutions and African Banking Corporation have today announced that the bank has selected BankWorld, CR2's industry leading integrated self service platform. African Banking Corporation has chosen BankWorld to manage its entire electronic self service network including ATM, Internet, Mobile and POS in Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

ABC's historic focus has been on business banking. In support of the bank's decision to offer integrated financial services, African Banking Corporation is expanding into the retail banking sector. The bank recognises the significant role that the BankWorld self service platform will play in delivering an integrated channel network throughout its operations.

BankWorld's integrated self service platform enables African Banking Corporation to effectively provide all customer segments with easily accessible financial products and services 24/7, across multiple regions. Building on this, BankWorld Mobile provides African Banking Corporation with the opportunity to extend its customer reach by addressing the unbanked market as well as providing powerful security through two-factor authentication and one time passwords.
