SS&C Technologies Inc., a global provider of financial services software and outsourcing solutions, today announced that it has acquired the assets of Micro Design Services, LLC.
Micro Design Services (MDS) specializes in the design and development of real-time, mission-critical order routing and execution services for the world's largest Exchanges. SS&C's acquisition of Micro Design Services extends SS&C's presence in the securities industry and adds significant expertise in mobile computing and messaging.

This expertise combined with the thousands of investment firms SS&C provides solutions to will add a new level of understanding and enhance the offerings across SS&C's product suite," said Bill Stone, chairman and chief executive officer, SS&C Technologies, Inc. The MDS patented Market Look Information System is in use by 45 brokerage firms with over 1,700 users. MDS was instrumental in the design and development of the first hand-held wireless trading system adopted by a US exchange.
