Kx realigns responsibilities

Kx Systems, the leader in high-performance database and timeseries analysis, today announced new roles for several members of its management team. The new titles reflect the recently agreed realignment of responsibilities and functions of the senior management at Kx and are in line with the company’s continued development and growth.

Kx has a unique approach to business which is best expressed in its original solutions and product design, and is integral to making the best possible use of the talent and intellect within Kx. The reassignment of responsibilities announced today will continue to ensure that we remain ahead of the competition and help our clients do likewise.

Janet Lustgarten, previously President and COO, has been named the CEO of Kx, while Arthur Whitney takes over as President, having previously served as the CEO of Kx. Simon Garland, previously Kx CTO, is taking on the role of Chief Strategist. This will allow Garland to focus on the broader technology issues and key industry developments.

Niall Dalton takes on the title of CTO, having previously been the Chief Solutions Architect. Before joining Kx Dalton co-founded xrnd (extreme research and development), an advanced technology consultancy helping clients in various industries process high volumes of data in high-performance, scalable, and real-time environments.

Janet Lustgarten, CEO, commented: “Kx is continuing to experience significant and rapid growth. The changes in management responsibilities were made in response to this growth and will better position Kx to continue its ambitious strategy of innovation and expansion. We are always looking for ways to provide our clients with a better service, and the management changes will allow us to do this.”
