FiREapps Enhances Professional Services and Product Management Teams with Management Additions

FiREapps, the leading provider of Foreign Exchange Exposure Management Technologies, today announced the appointment two new management team members. The company named Walter Viola vice president of professional services and John Brandt vice president of product management.

“With the additions of Walter and John, FiREapps has advanced its commitment to delivering world class professional services and best of breed Software as a Service offerings,” said Wolfgang Koester, CEO of FiREapps. “Walter brings years of experience helping CFOs to address compliance and risk-related issues that are invaluable to our customers facing the challenges of foreign exchange exposure and compliance management. John brings product development and life cycle management experience for Software as a Service solutions that will help us to continue our record of product innovation and excellence.”

Prior to joining FiREapps, Viola was the managing director of CFO advisory services for Vantage Consulting, LLC, where he led all CFO advisory solutions functions for the six different offices in the company including Sarbanes-Oxley, Risk-based Compliance, Shared Services and Change Management. Prior to joining Vantage Consulting, LLC, Viola worked as a public accounting director at KPMG and a public accounting manager at Peat Marwick & Mitchell. He also served as CFO of ExpoMax International. Viola is an instructor for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is an experienced industry speaker on extensive Financial Account Standards Board (FASB) interpretations and implementations. Viola has been interviewed by Compliance Week, CFO Magazine and IT Compliance. He received his Master of Business Administration degree and Master and Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from DePaul University.

Brandt joins FiREapps from Sabrix, Inc., where he was a co-founder and held the positions of vice president of integrations, product management and strategic initiatives. At Sabrix, Inc. Brandt participated in nearly all aspects of the company to redefine the delivery of real time

tax determination as a centralized management system and later as part of a Software as a Service model. Prior to starting Sabrix, Brandt was the senior systems analyst/technical lead for corporate information systems at Tektronix, Inc. He has deep expertise in product development and life cycle management, information technology and services, business operations and software development, quality assurance, support and release processes. Brandt received his Master of Business Administration degree from Portland State University and Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Washington.
