SunGard’s AvantGard Wins Shared Services Vendor Organization of the Year Award at Shared Services Week

AvantGard Customers Recognized for Best Use of Technology in a Shared Service Center

SunGard today announced that it was awarded “Shared Services Vendor Organization of the Year” for its AvantGard solution, at the IQPC Shared Services Week in Orlando, Florida. Additionally, AvantGard customer Monster Worldwide, Inc., parent company of Monster(R), a premier global online employment solution, received an award for “Best Use of Technology” for its use of SunGard AvantGard’s solution in its shared service centers, and another AvantGard customer received runner up in the same category. AvantGard helps customers improve liquidity management and operational control around receivables, treasury and payments processing.

The Shared Services Excellence Awards were established to honor, recognize and promote shared services organizations that demonstrate best practices. To identify and assess these leading organizations, shared services experts and leaders evaluate the effectiveness of leading shared services organizations.

“AvantGard helps us consolidate disparate data sources, automate manual processes, and foster collaboration with our business units,” said Dave Griebl, vice president of finance for Monster Worldwide Shared Services. “Performance management solutions such as AvantGard help improve cash flow, reduce operational costs, and improve visibility to cash and risk on a global basis. Using this technology can help us to deliver enterprise-wide value beyond cost savings. This award is a great honor and testament to the world class service we provide to our internal and external clients.”

“We take pride in our customers’ exemplary use of technology in their finance and accounting shared services organizations, and are pleased that they have been recognized for their accomplishments. Successful deployment and management of technology is a key indicator of strong leadership. This is particularly critical when coordinating multiple business units with diverse requirements,” said Ken Dummitt, president of SunGard’s AvantGard business unit. “Being selected as Shared Services Vendor of the Year demonstrates our proven ability to support the growing requirements of organizations with centralized treasury, receivables and payments.”
