Duck Creek Technologies today announced that Celent, LLC, a leading research and advisory firm focused on insurance technology strategy, has included Duck Creek’s client, Mutual Benefit Group, in the Celent Model Carrier 2007: Case Studies in Effective Use of Technology in Insurance. Mutual Benefit was named in the report as a “Model Carrier Component” in Distribution: Agent Portal.
Matthew Josefowicz, manager of Celent’s insurance practice and lead author of the report, commented, “Mutual Benefit has been recognized in the Celent report for its online quoting for agents in personal auto which utilizes Duck Creek Technologies’ EXAMPLE Platform®.”
Josefowicz continued, “In addition to reducing turn-around time from six days to less than one on new business, other outstanding results include improved agent satisfaction and improved hit ratio to over 20%. Reusing web services created in this project have reduced Mutual Benefit’s development time on subsequent projects by approximately 40% and reduced user testing time by approximately 60%.”
Duck Creek’s CEO, Doug Roller, said, “We congratulate Mutual Benefit Group on this well deserved recognition for its online quoting initiative, and we are extremely proud that Duck Creek was able to play a role in this effort. We look forward to our continuing effort with Mutual Benefit and helping them derive maximum value from their Duck Creek solution.”
Mutual Benefit is using the EXAMPLE Platform to implement online quoting, full policy issuance, and policy administration.
