- Appointment signals increasing demand for Cognito's services across B2B financial services sector

Cognito, a leading PR and marketing firm for the financial services sector, today announced the appointment of Carsten Huwendiek, former Head of Marketing & Communications for ABN AMRO's Global Markets business, as MD of Cognito Europe.

Huwendiek will be responsible for managing the expansion of Cognito's business in Europe by strengthening its services and taking them to more financial organizations and providers.

Cognito, which has offices in London and New York, provides a range of communications, marketing and creative services exclusively for the B2B financial services sector. Since its inception in 1998, Cognito has earned a reputation for its value added programs and services which have been adopted by a range of financial institutions, hedge funds and suppliers including JPMorgan, the London Stock Exchange, ABN AMRO and Deutsche Bank as well as OM and Accenture.

Huwendiek's previous experience covers many areas of financial services including asset management, investment banking and commercial banking.
Prior to Cognito, Huwendiek held senior communications roles at UBS Asset Management and ABN AMRO where most recently he was a member of the communications board and Head of Marketing for ABN AMRO's Global Markets business.

Tom Coombes, founder of Cognito and CEO of the firm's UK and US operations, will now concentrate his attention on developing new programs and services that address changing client needs.
