Datamatics Strengthens Banking Financial Services & Insurance Portfolio in partnership with Merit

Alliance allows Datamatics to provide customers process efficiency in multi-application environment and optimum total cost of ownership

Mumbai: Datamatics Limited, IT consulting and services organization offering a wide range of software solutions, announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Bangalore-based Merit Systems. The partnership strengthens Datamatics’ product and services portfolio of Workflow, Business Process Management (BPM) and Document Management solutions.

According to Pradeep Sen, Executive Director, Datamatics Limited, this partnership is another of Datamatics’ initiatives to deliver value to the organization’s new and existing customers. “By integrating Merit’s products into our solutions, we are offering a compelling value proposition – industry-specific process model implementation with optimum total cost of ownership.”

Gopal Rao, CEO of Merit says, "We are delighted about the possibilities that would follow this MoU. The MoU brings together, Merit, a horizontal, business software infrastructure products company, and Datamatics, a strong vertical solutions company. The value and IP that would be created by the joint initiatives would result in a new generation, world class solutions in the BFSI sector."
Nirmalendu Jajodia, Senior Vice President, BFSI, Datamatics Limited, added, “The partnership wit Merit will facilitate streamlining process and operational flows in a multi-application environment. For our existing customers, this allows us to provide process efficiency and streamlined automation.”

The partnership maximizes synergies from Datamatics' IT solution architecting, aligned to its industry verticals like Banking, Financial Services & Insurance, and Merit's new technology product suite proKosha for the BPM and Workflow horizontals. With the flexibility that XML-based modeling standards provide, domain-centric process maps can be used to proactively reduce implementation time.

A joint team, based at Datamatics’ head quarters in Mumbai, has begun development on customized domain or industry-specific process templates in conformance to global XML-based interfacing and modeling standards like ACORD, HL7 and BPEL.

Merit offers products in the areas of BPM, Workflow, Collaboration, Business Event Monitoring (BEM) and Unified Messaging. The new technology proKosha BPM Suite is Merit's flagship product suite that handles full BPM cycle including process modeling, monitoring, orchestration and an amorphous process (human workflow) manager.
