La Caixa selects SIDE Recovery solution for their business contingency plan

6/29/2006

SIDE International is pleased to announce that La Caixa, one of the largest savings banks in Spain, has opted for SIDE Recovery to ensure business continuity on their SWIFTAlliance activity.

SIDE Recovery is not only a data replication solution: SIDE Recovery is the only tool that provides a clear picture of the situation just before the disaster. It also is a powerful assistant which automates all the necessary steps required to restart operations on a cold backup SAA system.

As SIDE customer since the opening of the Spanish office, La Caixa was already convinced by the quality of the SIDE services.

“Financial services are one of the key stones for La Caixa’’s business.” comments Oscar Domenech Roig.
“When attending SIBOS in September 2005 we were looking for a solution that fulfilled our company’’s high demanding business continuity requirements.
SIDE Recovery was the right solution for us. It is a robust product which we can rely on. In a disaster recovery situation it becomes a helpful assistant too: we no longer care about missing a payment or sending it twice as SIDE Recovery does the job for us. SIDE is not only software provider but also global services.
They did a great job when deploying SIDE Recovery into our production environment and successfully tested the product in simulated disaster situations. SIDE is also helping us to face other challenges such as the roadmap to SWIFTNet Phase II or implementing Swift Alliance Access. We are highly satisfied.”

SIDE International, with more than 320 references worldwide, continues to achieve significant growth in software sales and has been particularly successful this first semester of 2006.
