Attunity and SAS form partnership to expand integration options for joint customers

19 June 2006

Attunity enhances Change Data Capture (CDC) technology for SAS

Attunity, a leading provider of enterprise-class integration software, and SAS, the leader in enterprise business intelligence and data integration, announced today that they have formed a partnership. This new partnership commits both companies to a joint sales and marketing investment and further technology integration. Customers of the two companies will now have expanded options for data integration, by leveraging Attunity’s change-data-capture (CDC) capabilities of its Attunity Stream product, from within SAS’ Data Integration offerings.

Change data capture (CDC) deals with monitoring and transferring only those data items that have been changed, removing the need for large bulk-data transfers from one system to another. With data volumes now doubling yearly in some organisations, change data capture is increasingly becoming the only viable solution for delivering timely information to the end user.

“This alliance allows us to provide our joint customers with tighter integration with Attunity,” commented Scott Van Valkenburgh, Director of Platform & ISV Partnering at SAS. “The partnership with Attunity strengthens SAS’ unparalleled Data Integration offerings and provides more options in the area of CDC.”

“We are very pleased that SAS has chosen to expand its CDC capabilities for its Data Integration offerings with Attunity,” said Andy Bailey, vice president of marketing at Attunity. “Together, this partnership will help our joint customers continue to improve the efficiency of their ETL processes by capturing and delivering changes made to enterprise data sources in real-time.”
