The Banker Selects NetEconomy for Prestigious Technology Award

London, England – June 9, 2006 - NetEconomy, the leading provider of financial crime management solutions, today announced that it has been awarded the The Banker 2006 Technology Award for Best Fraud Prevention Project. NetEconomy was presented the award yesterday evening at The Banker Awards Ceremony in London.

NetEconomy’s ERASE Financial Crime Suite for protecting financial institutions against money laundering, fraud, and market abuse, was selected from more than 300 entries by a panel of judges charged with recognizing the innovation and excellence of technical applications in financial services companies.

“The aim of The Banker Technology Awards is to put the spotlight on the leading solutions and 'best practices' in key business areas. NetEconomy really impressed the judging panel with its ERASE Financial Crime Suite, particularly through its straightforward delivery,” said Dan Barnes, Technology Editor at The Banker. “This was a factor that significantly reduced the total cost of ownership and expected implementation time for three banks, who also gained advantage by running one system across them, aggregating transaction data in one database environment, broadening the view of risk.”

“We are very pleased and proud to receive this award from such a prominent and widely read global publication as The Banker,” said Peter Kwakernaak, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at NetEconomy. “This award recognizes the hard work we have invested as a team in delivering our Financial Crime Management solution, and our commitment to developing best-in-class solutions for our customers."
